I’ve recently started therapy and using airsense 11 with n30i (sort of struggling with it - waking up at night sort of unable to breathe out appropriately).
The key question I have is around the sound I’m making.
Is this a normal sound to be making? The reason I got tested for OSA in the first place was my wife was sick of my snoring. But she’s not doing too well with the noise I’m making with the mask… would love your thoughts.
Thanks
edit: I don’t seem to be able to post links yet. If you’re willing to help, please let me know and I’ll send you a message with recording.
It would help to see your chart and setup. If a person is new to therapy and they are on a single pressure CPAP. It can feel inordinately hard to exhale. I have had rather bad luck with getting the N30i to seal, But then I am also sporting a stash on the upper lip. But the N30i seemed sensitive to the vertical orientation and a bit less so on the horizontal (at least for me) So got the Pillow insert for it. That one seals great. But the air traveling through the hollow frame was simply too loud for me. It sounded a bit like Darth Vader UNLESS I was in a certain hard to maintain position.

RE: Sound while sleeping - normal?
Yeah I think I'm struggling a little bit - less so with the seal but like, ensuring the wholes in the cushion align perfectly. I'm starting to think a full face will be better for me....
APAP. Unclear... Still trying to be able to post a link!
The N30i has air exhaust holes on top and air exhaust holes under the nose being baffled (it's not a filter) by the felt. As you're in APAP mode, as your pressure goes higher, then the noise level will increase. Either you'll get used to it, get a CPAP pillow so your face is not directly on your pillow, sleep with some type of background noise or change masks.

RE: Sound while sleeping - normal?
Fieldssupsup, Go to the home page. you will see a WIKI link at the top. clink that wiki link and then click on OSCAR help. Then go to OSCAR chart organization and preparing for a screen shot.
That should get you well on your way to posting a chart.
PS. I find at times if there is a bit too much humidity. The filter media in the exhaust of my P10 mask can get wet but stops short of a 'rain out' in the tube from the machine and creates a whistling sound.
