Starting Out - Guidance Please

RE: Starting Out - Guidance Please
UnicornRider - I purchased a CPAP pillow with the sides cut out and I find it wonderful.  It is small in size to a regular pillow which I first found to be a little odd but it has not been an issue.  In fact, it's small size will make it easier to travel with and also when I change sides it is easier to find the other side's cutout since it is basically just a head turn away!  Smile

SarcasticDave94 - I agree that the leaks need to be addressed.  100% agree.  1,000% agree.  I've read the mask primer several times and I'm still having leakage.  I have 3 other masks (model at bottom of this post) besides the ResMed P10 and I've tried them at various times and have found it nearly impossible to even fall asleep.  In fact, not once have I kept the other masks on for more than a few hours.  Is this just a simple "keep it on all night long regardless of quality of sleep and you'll get use to it" type scenario?

I am still experiencing aerophagia with the AirCurve 10 ASV.  Every-single-night.  I wake up in the middle of the night with gas and in the morning I'm burping and farting as I get out of bed and start my daily routine.  What am I doing wrong?  What can I do to reduce or eliminate aerophagia?  It has been over 8 months of this and it is every night.

Attached are my OSCAR data for the last 3 days which I believe are fairly normal and average for me on how I feel I slept and feel during the day.  I am functioning fairly well.  I am sleeping better than I was.  I still have days where I fall asleep and then wake up wide awake at 2:00 am or so and toss and turn for an hour before falling back asleep but they are only once every few weeks when it was nearly a daily event before.  Leaks are an issue it seems.

I have the following masks in my drawer that I tried at one point but never used for more than a few days.
- ResMed Airfit P10 (this is what I've been using for over a year, replacing every 60 to 90 days).
- Fisher & Paykel Eson 2
- Philips Dreamwear Nasal
- ResMed AirFit N20

Thoughts?  Comments?  Suggestions?  Experiment with me please! :Smile Thank you all in advance.

RE: Starting Out - Guidance Please
Attached are two days in a row, 2/24 and 2/25.

On 2/24 I was asleep most if not all of the night and when I woke up in the morning I felt fairly refreshed.

On 2/25 I had a hard time falling asleep.  I woke up multiple times and I feel beat up this morning.

I can see Large Leak on 2/25 quite often.  I don't quiet understand how this works.  Both days were very routine, diet routine, etc.  I didn't change any settings and I didn't tighten or loosen the mask.  It was business as usual.  This is a part that I do not understand; is it the leaks that are causing issues or is it some other issue that is causing the leaks?

I would also love some feedback on my post last week on 2/23/2025 if you have time.  Thank you!

I myself don't understand as yet how to make a correlation between leaks and events, unfortunately. I can say the leak pattern has mostly a spikey look, which points to the mask as the leak source. You also present a few areas where the wider, flattened and elevated look is showing. This will be a mouth leak pattern.

If it weren't for the leaks, I'd think your chart is pretty good. If you choose, you need not monitor the flow limits chart. The ASV will typically have a somewhat busy FL chart as an artifact of the ASV therapy.
