Been using a ResMed Airsense 10 for 6 months now. Prescribed 11 pressure. Tried many different masks, currently using Phillips Dreamwear nasal cushion. Not sure if I'm missing something here, or if there's something I can try to help? Thanks!

Still generally very tired during the day
Hi all,
Been using a ResMed Airsense 10 for 6 months now. Prescribed 11 pressure. Tried many different masks, currently using Phillips Dreamwear nasal cushion. Not sure if I'm missing something here, or if there's something I can try to help? Thanks!

![]() Your settings look fine, but you are having fairly high leaks. I once used the same mask, but it leaked a lot. I replaced the cushion with the nasal pillows that also fit the mask, and my leaks dropped a lot. You can do that through your DME, but you can also buy the pillows alone on Amazon, which might be quicker. Your apnea appears to be mostly CAs. Did you have a lot of those in your sleep study? If not, are treatment-emergent and will lessen as time passes. If you don't know, post a redacted copy of your sleep study. If you don't have the study, ask your doctor's office for a copy. In the US they must provide it if you ask. Again, welcome, and best wishes for achieving great therapy and comfort! ![]()

RE: Still generally very tired during the day
Hi, thanks for the info. I actually did switch to the nasal pillow version of this for a while, but tried switching back and it felt like I was able to breathe more naturally with this one. I'll check on the other stuff.

RE: Still generally very tired during the day
What has helped me to reduce Large Leaks is to run the mask fit test. While test is running I move my head around a bit then twitch my mouth and nose. If leaks are present, I pull the mask away from my face, position it again, adjust the position of the head gear and tighten straps. I change the cushion each month. I find that over time the headgear stretches, and strap adjustments are needed to keep a seal.

Thanks for the info! Here are the results of the study. Also, I go to sleep and wake up breathing through my nose, but wake up (especially recently, back on this mask) with a very dry mouth and dry/tired eyes.

RE: Still generally very tired during the day
You only had Hypopnea during the test. Yes during non-REM you had an odd .4 CA. By odd I mean it seemed to not even be big enough to get a count of 1 full CA flag.
Your total AHI is listed as 4, with REM giving AHI 5.1. RDI score was identical to AHI. You barely need CPAP according to this info. I'm not saying either way on necessity, although OSCAR charts indicate AHI is down about 3.5 to 1.4, if it's accurate due to the leaks.

RE: Still generally very tired during the day
With an AHI of 4 (normal range) on your Sleep Study what convinced you that PAP therapy was needed? It is over 5 that is diagnosis of mild apnea. Could it be that using your machine is what is causing CAs and poor sleep?

RE: Still generally very tired during the day
The study I linked was in person with a mask on and they were increasing pressures, so maybe not the right numbers to post. My original at-home study had an AHI of 23.3, adding it here.

RE: Still generally very tired during the day
Your sleep study showed that you definitely need your machine, so keep at it.
Your Oscar chart needs a little work. Pressing the F12 button (FN+F12 for Mac) to copy your chart is the easiest way to correct it. We should end up seeing the following, and only the following, in the order listed: Event Flags Flow Rate Pressure Leak Rate Flow Limits
