Suddenly water all over my face!

Suddenly water all over my face!
Pretty large droplets too....terrible! Some quick googling suggests it might be something called "rainout". I have a resmed airsense 10 and I've had it for 5 years and not ONCE has this ever happened. I DO have a heated tube. Yesterday I got new replacement heating tube and water chamber...I'm wondering if they could be defective?

btw It's been low 60s in my room. But I always keep the tube heated to 86 in the past no problems

It's very disturbing and never happened before, and AFAIK shouldn't be happening with a heated tube. I use a full face mask. Please advise.

Keep the machine lower than your bed surface and that puts the hose on an angle that always drains excess moisture back into reservoir. Gravity is your friend.

Does the AS10 recognize the new ClimateLine?   I know the electrical connection for the hose is a very flimsy circuit on the hose connection port and can break easily.  Did you gently twist the old one to disconnect it? Have you tried the old one to see if it now has this problem?

It’s hard to figure out unless it does it constantly. You may have just jerked the hose accidentally while sleeping and that in turn jolted the machine.

I agree with trying the old one to see if it causes the problem too. If not, your new hose is defective and your DME should replace it for free.
