RE: Surgical alternatives to CPAP
I had a UPPP over 20 years ago. While it worked at first. I now need xpap. So it was temporary.
It also had a terrible side effect. I now have so much room in my throat. It has caused me to choke on food so badly that I was looking to do a Heimlich on myself a great man times. My current ENT said that a UPPP is not encouraged anymore and he said that when he was in residency. No ENT he ever met would think of doing in his words "such a barbaric surgery on people" |
