Hello everyone. I gave up on cpap a long time ago and tried to look for other possible solutions to my sleep apnea. I have been wanting to try the cpap again because ive had no luck with other things that i have tried and im exhausted! I have some data from when i last used cpap. It was with a Resmed Aircurve 10. I remember when i was sleeping with these settings i was still waking up tired. Ive attached some screenshots. Im wondering if my breathing patterns on the flow rate look normal? Should i go back and try these settings again and maybe in time ill feel better? If anyone can take a peek at the screenshots that would be great. Thanks for your help.

Your PS setting of 8 is extremely high and may be causing most of your problems. It may be why your machine needs to run such high pressure. Do you have aerophagia, stomach and intestinal pressure, and a lot of gas? Too high PS definitely causes that.
Turn it down to 6 and see how you feel. I bet you'll feel a lot better. ![]() Also, drop the calendar from your chart so we can see the settings below.

Yep, PS 8 too high. You can see on the pressure chart you have now made an auto adjusting machine into static. Basically it's now S mode, EPAP static IPAP static, forced by high PS 8. Lower the PS to between 4 - 6, check charts and note if you're sleeping better.

I forgot to mention that these settings were recommended by a sleep tech. He said that he feels static pressures are better than letting the machine decide on which pressure I should be on, so I have the machine on cpap mode with two static pressures at the moment. Should I put it back to Vauto? And yes I do get immense amount of gas and Aerophagia with these pressures, to the point where I can barely even sleep comfortably. I used to use lower pressures and my sleep tech said to raise the pressure to this amount after seeings the results with the lower pressures. I wanted to post my graphs here and see if a different set of eyes can see something different to see if I can get away with a lower pressure because this is just too uncomfortable. And how do i remove the calendar so you guys can see the settings?

You need to redo all the settings. This tech is wrong with this setup.
You have a 10 series VAuto, access the clinical menu by clicking and holding the Dial and Home button together for 5 seconds. I think we'll need to back off some of these settings. You're now at 16-24 PS 8, far too high, and very likely your aerophagia source. Look within Apnea Board for your VAuto clinician manual. Change mode, I think it's VPAP. EPAP Min 6 IPAP Max 15 PS 4 Seriously consider no Ramp. You get zero therapy its duration. It might not be but a few minutes, but consider it, try on versus off. Humidity and heated hose if applicable are comfort settings. Trial and error.

RE: SystemF - Therapy Thread part 2
I agree with Dave to turn the PS down to 4 now that I know you are having aerophagia. You can very slowly raise it later, but ignore the high flow limits, if you get them, and for sure never go higher than 6.
