AHI uncontrollable - Matouta Therapy Thread
Hello everyone,

Been using CPAP for a year ish. Only had 15
Days of good treatment then had not functionnal machine and started to take off my mask while sleeping. Then started to have sign of dysotonaumia (or maybe sleep debt) and my iah started to be uncontrolable. I lost 40 kg in few month (still obese tho) but didn’t not change my air pressure (11). Using a nasal mask my nose were hurting in the morning or sometimes woke up because of it, started to open my mouth so switched to facial mask (no more leaks) but still have my nose hurting even tho i use warming hose, humidification etc.
Kinda desperate to have a normal life again.
Tried to include some Oscar datas but it’s in French so if need ask for translation

RE: IAH uncontrollable
Welcome

Send your Oscar chart even if it's in French.  Make sure your chart shows the following, and only in the following, in the order listed. Then we will know what we are seeing, even if we can't read it:

Event Flags
Flow Rate
Pressure
Leak Rate
Flow limits

The easiest way to do this is to press the F12 key (FN+F12 for Mac) to copy the chart.  That usually gets it right.

Again, welcome, and best wishes for achieving great therapy and comfort!  Smile
Machine:  ResMed AirCurve 10 Vauto
Mask:  Bleep DreamPort Sleep Solution and F&P Nova Micro

Go to the Oscar Help section.
You can change the language to English for the screen shots.
I hope you get some rest.

Rebound of symptom with CPAP ?
Hello,

After a year and a half of not being able to use the machine, and then using it with leaks, I’m finally using it properly. The thing is, in December, due to very poor sleep, stress, etc., I developed some messed-up symptoms that look like dysautonomia. Over time, using the machine even with leaks helped stabilize the situation and keep the symptoms under control. Now I’ve been using it correctly — low AHI, barely any leaks, 7 hours of sleep — but the symptoms are back like they were in January/February. I’m starting to think I’m either crazy or dying.
Thanks in advance.

RE: IAH uncontrollable
I merged your most recent post with your older thread since both have to do with your therapy. Also removed small font formatting.

It would help to see a current chart. Tutorials in my signature link describe how to organized and take a screenshot of your Oscar charts.  In your previous images, you appear to be using pressure at 8-12 with no EPR, and are experiencing abundant clusters of obstructive apnea and hypopnea, with very high 95% flow limitation of 0.2. You need to resolve the Positional Apnea that is causing the clusters of obstruction, and I will suggest a change in pressure to minimum pressure 10.0, maximum pressure 14.0 EPR On Full-Time at Setting 3.

RE: IAH uncontrollable
My comments are based on your charts from June 14. I have no idea if you have changed those, but your results last week were not very good.

RE: IAH uncontrollable
Looking better. I don't know if the BMC has an effective exhale pressure relief, but with the Resmed it can stabilize pressure and help lower flow limits. Both of those are affecting your therapy. The settings I suggested earlier may help.
