[Treatment] Ben Landrail — Therapy Thread

Ben Landrail — Therapy Thread
Setup: ResMed AirSense S10 AutoSet, AirFit F20 full face mask.
Stats: AHI 4-6, lots of CAs (25+ events per night, mostly in REM), median pressure 8.5, few Hs, almost no OAs.
State: tiredness, sleepiness, low energy, especially cognitive and in the second half of day.
Comfort: no physical discomfort, have no issues with the mask, machine, temperature or humidity.
Issues:
1. Wake up earlier than planned, unrefreshed. Usually need 7-8 hours of sleep, but get about 6-7 at best.
2. Lots of CAs in my reports which do not go away no matter what I try.
3. Tried all sorts of settings (table attached): APAP 7-9, 8-10, 7-11, CPAP 7.6, 7.8, 8.0, 9.0 with and without EPR, Ramp, Soft and Standard. Some settings were comfortable (APAP 7-9, CPAP 8). Some I couldn't tolerate (lower than 7 and higher than 9). But the results were rather similar.
Current settings: the doctor recommended APAP 7-11, Auto Ramp from 6 cm, no EPR. Two days in, no improvement.
Question: what could be causing the CAs and what could I do about it?

Will be very thankful for your input,
Ben

RE: Ben Landrail — Therapy Thread
Many experience CAs due to the body adapting to PAP therapy.  I've been with PAP therapy 19 years and still get them for unknown exact reasons.  Research CAs and the many possibilities of their causes.  Central Apneas  Clear Airway Apneas

Changing pressure settings may produce CAs.
I only give suggestions from experience as a fellow CPAP user, not professional advice.  My suggestions are for consideration, they are not definitive instructions.
