New to Oscar
Good Day,

I just began to use the Oscar program to track my therapy.
I have been using a CPAP for over 15 years with a couple of different models in that time. I originally was titrated at 15 cmH2O and a fixed unit.
I recently stopped the System 1 due to all the hazard notices. I have bounced back and forth from APAP mode to CPAP mode with average success with both.
I recently bought a AirSense 10 and used it mostly in a 13 to 18 range setting. I began to use OSCAR a few days ago and began reviewing the data. I averaged 6 to 7 Hypopnea, 6 to 7 Clear Airway Apnea's and 6 to 7 Obstructed Airway Apnea's per night. The pressure record showed the pressure varied over the whole range probably about 60% of the night (8hr sleep).
The AHI for about a week was from around 1.20 to 3.30.

The last couple of nights I changed my setting to 16 cmH2O and fixed CPAP mode. The Apneas dropped to 1 or 2 per night and the AHI averaged around .28.

Curious if any members have better success in CPAP vs APAP mode.

Trying to optimize and get the best therapy possible

Regards,

Wade

Thanks

Your best bet would be to post an OSCAR screenshot in this thread so the experts can analyze your data.
Use the links below for the steps to do this.

If CPAP mode is working for you and you're comfortable with that high pressure, then keep at it. If you find you have trouble exhaling against the 16 cm, try enabling EPR in your settings to bring down the exhale pressure by up to 3 cm.

My get-up-and-go musta got up and went.  Cool

Download OSCAR for your sleep data.
