[Treatment] Looking for help with reviewing OSCAR data

Looking for help with reviewing OSCAR data
Hi folks,

I was diagnosed with mild apnea earlier this year, as diagnosed through a sleep study. I had an AHI = 12.7 and O2 =89%.

Didn't end up going somewhere in person to get fitted and have been using an Airfit F20. I'm using the full face mask since I tend to breath through my mouth.

I've been using the CPAP for about a month now, but have only exceeded 4 hours twice. I find myself waking up in the middle of the night and taking it off. Not 100% sure if it's due to discomfort or an "i can't breath" reflex. I got an SD card and collected data over the past few nights and was curious if I could optimize some settings to make it more usable.

I've been trying 7.4-17 cmH20 currently, but suspect I may need to go up on the minimum side.

Would appreciate any help with evaluating the data and making some changes.

Thanks in advance

!

RE: Looking for help with reviewing OSCAR data
Welcome

You are doing great with your low flow limits and virtually no leaks! Good for you!

You need to raise your starting pressure to 9, as your median pressure is 9.5, so 7.4 is far too low. You are probably feeling a little air-starved. Try the 9. If it feels like too much, drop to 8, then later raise it to 9.

Again, welcome, and best wishes for achieving great therapy and comfort! Smile

I'm so glad you slept better!  Your median pressure last night went up to over 11, so you might want to raise your starting pressure to 11 tonight.

You have been at this for a few months, but your settings were too low.  Probably it will take a while to adjust fully to the changes, then I think you will feel better and better.  I hope so!   Smile
