New ASV auto machine
Finally got insurance to cover a new ResMed ASV machine after waiting 2 months! Have used 8 times with mixed results... AHI from 1.6 to 7.2. Biggest issue is mask comfort - has to be tight to prevent leaks. I've also noticed my RR is fairly low when relaxing just before drifting off. its around 8, then starts dropping to 7, 6, 5, well, you get it. According to OSCAR, which was installed yesterday, it looks like that's when I stop breathing. Once I figure out how to use it, will sent some pictures.
Settings from DME are; Min. EPAP 4
Max. EPAP 15
Min. PS 4
Max. PS 20
I've dropped the Max. PS to 16 a few times, and will lower it to 15 tonight for awhile. Might help with the mask issue. My origional ResMed Bi-Pap ST machine was set at 19 / 15 with pretty good results. Actually got AHI of 0.0 once.
