RE: Turbinectomy
I had the same surgery about a year ago.  Overall went well.  After surgery, better breathing during the day, less congestion, and easier to tolerate my ventilator now.

I assume you mean, "post surgery" - lots of bleeding for about a week or so.  But it was tolerable.  ENT most likely will have you take a break from pap therapy for a few days to a week after surgery to let everything heal before using it again.  I think I went back in about a week after surgery to have the stitches checked/removed as well.

I don't use a nasal mask, only full face mask currently.

RE: Turbinectomy
Just saw my ENT this week. We talked about a turbinate reduction. He talked about a relatively recent procedure where a radio frequency is used to cook and shrink the turbinates.

After surgery, can you breathe through both nostrils? I always have one of the two blocked

RE: Turbinectomy
Yes.  I remember being wheeled out of surgery and breathing better out of my left nostril.  It used to get completely clogged at night sometimes as well.

It depends on whether the ENT packs you with a huge bandage (acts like a splint) in your nose after surgery (for a week) or not.  Mine did not pack because he said he is seeing better results without it.

If you have the large bandage, you may not be able to breathe out of your nose at all.

Yes, in the long term I have been able to breathe better during the day (no therapy), and using my sleep apnea therapy ventilator during sleep.
