UARS Just got a BIPAP looking for help understanding a few settings
Hello I just got a bipap machine. It is an aircurve 10 VAuto. I have a decent idea of how to titrate pressure however there are a few settings that I dont fully understand. The TI max/min Trigger and cycle. Would really appreciate some info on these settings and also any suggestions on how to set them to best treat UARS. Thanks!

For UARS leave them alone.

If your breathing is bad other than apnea they come into play, for significant COPD for instance you may want to lengthen the exhale.

On mod[ people that play with them we usually put them back on defaults and they breathe better.

The exception is for mild to low moderate CA increasing trigger helps by making the shift from exhale to inhale more sensitive.

Tugboatxd, those functions are explained in the clinical manual. You can request that manuals at the Setup Manuals link at the top of this page. I agree with Gideon, there should be no changes to defaults until we see some data indicating an issue.
