Uptick in AHI

Uptick in AHI
I've been using my Airsense 11 since Dec 2022 (initial AHI test was 44.1). With it, my average AHI is usually below 1, and I love it. It's like a sleep button whenever I put it on.

Over the past few weeks, however, I noticed my numbers were going up since the middle of the month, from an initial jump from .29 to 1.47, then a few days later to 1.57, to 1.95, and all the way up to 2.54. Now, My Air says I'm still good being under 5, but that's a big jump for me, and it's been going steadily up, so I'm trying to find the cause.

I've been getting a reasonable amount of sleep, 100% compliant, changing distilled water every night and letting the tank air dry. I've always been good about chaning the nose pad (Phillips Dreamwear nasal mask), and I swap out the tank/hose/mask components on my regular shipments.

A couple things that might be involved

1) Before I noticed the #'s going up, I observed my water tank wasn't going down. I figured out that the heated hose line had failed. I swapped it out for a previous one, which fixed that issue, and it got replaced 3 days ago. It's gone down a little bit (1.35-1.14), but still not down where it was.

2) Under Statistics, it shows a change to EPR to "Off" on 3/14, which is around the time the AHI numbers started going (relatively) way up. I don't recall turning it off, but it's about the time I found the hose problem. Should I change it back to it's previous setting of FT 2 cm H20 like it was from 1/23 to 3/14/25?

Welcome to the board!  You won’t get many replays without using OSCAR. The program is totally free to download and use from the top of the site.

Use the daily view using the F 12 to get the correct formatting.

I've used OSCAR since 2023. I attached PDF's of my reports in the first post.  Here are the direct images.

In any case, I think I found the problem. When the heated hose stopped working, I noticed that the settings had changed because the Airsense 11 couldn't detect it. When I replaced the hose, it detected the new one, but somehow, the EPR setting must have switched off. (image previously attached, and shown below). When I re-enabled it, the machine didn't make any unnecessary noise all night, and my AHI went back to 0.1. So, that must have been the issue.

We need to see your daily chart, not those other two pages.
Machine:  ResMed AirCurve 10 Vauto
Mask:  Bleep DreamPort Sleep Solution and F&P Nova Micro

I think I found the problem (circled in red). I turned EPR back on, and last night was an AHI of 0.1, which is back to where I've been for 2+ years. I'm 95% sure that the setting got turned off when my heated tubing hose went bad. The Airsense 11 couldn't detect it, and some settings weren't available. When I swapped it for a working hose, the machine detected it, but EPR got turned off somehow. Once I turned it back on....I slept fine, and my AHI was back to normal. I don't seem to have any OSCAR data for last night, but I've included one from before the hose issue occurred, one after my AHI went up, and the last one before I turned EPR back on.

I think the problem has been found and solved (unless you see something that I don't).
