Variable Breathing/CSR?

RE: Variable Breathing/CSR?
If turning off the flex helped, then you want to experiment with it a bit further and turn it back at a lower level because of the tremendous benefit of EPR. Your provider must have had a similar way of thinking. You might need time to accept EPR/Flex and go through a learning curve starting in a lover setting.

Please let us know the outcome of your meeting and the tech's explanations of their prior intentions regarding the settings.

I would increase the minimum pressure to 11 or 12 cm to reduce pressure adjustments and have a smoother ride, which would lead to less disturbed sleep.

Thanks, I'll mention it to her, but they are strange. I'll set it this weekend if she doesn't want to.
RE: Variable Breathing/CSR?
I'm a 99% side sleeper so many mask options just don't work.
Might be worth trying a couple if they'll offer some different types. I experienced quite a few leaks and mouth leaks with the N20 and N30i. Nothing major but they were always there. Recently had a sleep study to test for ASV and the sleep tech came in after a couple hrs and changed me to a hybrid full face mask because he couldn't get a good test with those nasal masks. I decided on keeping with the switched out mask for that same reason. Since switching I've pretty much had Zero leaks!! Pretty surprising for me as I am a side sleeper tossing and turning on each side multiple times per night. The new mask is the Resmed F30i, I never would have thunk it prior to trying. I tried the respironics full face before but didn't get a good mask fit and discounted all those types until trying the resmed. It just fits my face. see if the VA will let you test drive a couple different ones and different sizes as well until you find one that fits. good luck

You would need some low-level FLEX to reduce Hs. The leaks you are having trigger CAs. Hence, it would be best to minimize the leaks by changing the strap's tension; tighter is not necessarily better. Alternatively, you can use a different mask. Your minimum pressure should be increased.

Thanks, I'll talk to them Friday. Not hopeful about mask changes with the VA, but we shall see.
