Varied Tidal Volume

Varied Tidal Volume
I live in the north east and my tidal volume is usually around 500. I am in Denver now and my tv has been running around 380. No changes were made at all, could it be due to the altitude? My respiration rate is the same.

Hello Yankees123.  I just found this article.

The lung at high altitude | Multidisciplinary Respiratory Medicine | Full Text (biomedcentral.com)

I saw a few other articles like this also.  It basically says that respiration rate and tidal volume increase as a person enters high altitude in order to compensate for the lower oxygen concentration in the air.

Not sure why yours would be lower.

No changes last night.  Identical respiratory rate as when I am at home .  Only change is tv is 380 instead of my usual 500.
Could it be a machine problem? No leaks also and have made no changes to my settings.
