Waking up a lot with dry mouth

Waking up a lot with dry mouth
I'm not sure what I to do. I have gotten my AHI down slowly by adjusting pressure. However, I don't get any quality sleep. Waking up 5-6 times a night with extremely dry mouth. I looked on the wiki on how to properly post OSCAR data, but I'm not sure on how to make everything fit so I took a couple screen shots. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Paul

RE: Waking up a lot with dry mouth
Welcome

Is your humidifier set at a sufficiently high setting?  That can help with dry mouth.  For some, the humidifier is not enough.  You can buy Xylimelts, small round tablets that stick to an upper molar and your gum.  These slowly dissolve and keep your mouth moist.  We buy them from Amazon, but other stores sell them as well.

Again, welcome, and good luck with solving the dry mouth problem.  Smile

Heya It sounds like you're doing well with reducing your AHI, but having to keep getting up because of a dry mouth is the worst. Have you tried using a heated humidifier with your CPAP? It can help keep the air moist and might help with the dryness. Let us know how you go..

RE: Waking up a lot with dry mouth
I use xylimelts and biotene mouth wash before sleeping. The other day I purposely did not use them and my mouth was bone dry.
I also have to use a full face mask because I have a tendency to mouth breath which does not help a dry mouth and it gets worse sleeping on your back.
I try not to use antihistamines because I feel that they add to the problem.
My humidifier is set on high and every morning the tank is almost dry.
