cathyf, that made my brain hurt, but it was the key. Thanks. I'll paraphrase the "ResMed for Dummies" version:
You can turn the time and date back as long as you don't cross the noon boundary.
So, you need to start at a time far enough from noon that after the setback, it will still be after noon (or do partial adjustments over several days). You can set the date/time back up to 23 hr 59 min if you wait until almost noon to do it.
