What settings do I change to reduce snores?
I would like to know what settings to change to reduce the snores. They did wake me up. I am also finding that I had to raise my epap pressure with this full face mask as compared to nasal or nasal pillows.

Raise EPAP. It usually means your airway is not fully stented.

What epap setting do you feel based on the data should I raise it to? Should I leave the PS unchanged?
Thanks

I'm not sure my answer is correct, so I just deleted it. Sorry.

Snoring is usually basically the most minor flow limitation
Increase from 10 to 10.4 - 11 Leave PS alone for now, but you are hitting your maximum pressure so it may need a bit of an increase later
Breathe through your nose
Reduce sugar and processed food Soft collar and seal your mouth ![]()

Thank you Chad, will let you know in a few days
RE: What settings do I change to reduce snores?
I increased my epap to 10.4 to try and resolve the snoring. It still is showing snoring. Do I increase the epap to a higher reading? I also notice that I am hitting close to max ipap. Do I also increase the PS? When I increased the epap to from 9.8 to 10.4 I also increased the ipap from 15.8 to 16.0. Thank you

RE: What settings do I change to reduce snores?
I'm not seeing the increase in snores on this latest chart.
You dropped from .96 to .0 in snores at 95% reading and the 99.5 reading went from 1.10 ro .08. So that's lower. However, I think you have more of a leak issue. Mostly occurs the second half of night. How does your mask fit? Does it move around a lot at night? Are you a restless sleeper? Do you feel any air leaking around the seal? Read the mask primer if you haven't already. Link is in my signature line.

RE: What settings do I change to reduce snores?
Thanks for responding Opal rose. The mask fits quite well, I am not aware at all of any leaking during the night, however I do toss and turn at night. Does it look like a mask leak or a mouth leak? Any recommendations? Is it ok that I am close to hitting my ipap max or should I make any changes?
Interesting when I wear a nasal mask I can keep my epap lower than compared with a ffm. |
