Wondering if this could be UARS
Hello,
I had a sleep study done and I'm wondering if this looks like it could be UARS. Like most people here I have similar symptoms; I never wake up feeling refreshed and have excessive daytime sleepiness so my doctor had me do a sleep study. Some things that stood out to me are the high number of spontaneous arousals and the fact that I spent 0% of my time in deep sleep. According to the google AI, which I know isn't always accurate, a high number of spontaneous arousals without significant hypopneas or apneas is indicative of UARS.
I didn't get the results of my sleep study until a year plus later (long story) so I never had the follow up with the sleep specialist. The diagnosis was Idiopathic Hypersomnia / Narcolepsy so I went down that rabbit hole and tried all the meds and lifestyle changes to no avail. I have yet to try any type of positive airway pressure therapies and I'm trying to gain some insight. Attached are the sleep study results.

Lanky Lefty ( Youtube) looked at my OSCAR data and could see that my breaths were flat at the top instead of rounded. We kept moving the pressure up and finally ended up needing a Bi-level machine at 13/18 to get the breaths rounded off. He said I had UARS. He has a really good video on UARS on his youtube channel that could be helpful for you to watch if you haven't already.

Do you have an example of what the waves looked like before and after?

Just curious what other insights you learned from the review and how significant the symptom improvement was?

He is very knowledgeable but I was getting a lot of leaking at the higher pressures. It's a business and he is busy. Long story short I had better luck on this forum by posting my Oscar results and someone worked with me for free and did a better job. Put me on Vauto 10/16. I'm still trying to dial it in even more but feel much better most days. Sleeping on my side and not on my back makes a big difference for me. Also buying a Wellue Checkme O2 Pulse Oximeter has been helpful.
(CPAP Friend Youtube) and Ken Hooks are people who really care, so I would watch, read and listen to everything they have out there.

Not sure on this ( I am no expert) but I thought I read that most people with UARS have high blood pressure. I do not have HBP but it would make sense because your heart would be working hard evernight if your breathing is restricted.
