Would appreciate your review of my stats
Greetings,
I'm new to CPAP and new to Apneaboard. I have been peeking around for a couple of months - apologies if I overlook some site etiquette
I want to post my stats and seek your thoughts on my setup and charts.
I have had my Air Sense 11 since Feb. I don't have a problem with the F40 mask and use my machine every night with no issues. I am a mouth breather.
I find that I am still awake for a lot of the night but I don't believe it is CPAP or Apnea related, thus my seeking your input.
Looking at some other posts here, it appears that my symptoms are very mild compared to some (or my treatment is working well???).
I have posted my data from last night as it is fairly consistent. Happy to share more if needed and look forward to your comments.
Cheers,
MC
RE: Would appreciate your review of my stats
Welcome to the forum,
How did you feel during the day?
Try not to chase numbers, but how you feel.
Can you post a copy of your sleep report with your personal info redacted?
Your minimum pressure is too low for an adult, you need at least 7 cm of pressure.
Raising the minimum may also help stop some obstructive events or your hypopneas.
Raise the ramp pressure to 7cm also and set it to
Your flow limits are too high, you need EPR to fight that, use a setting of EPR of 3 but set it for full time. not ramp only
If you feel airstarved with EP on, don't turn it off, but raise your minimum to 8cm.
This may increase your clear airway events until you get used to this change.
RE: Would appreciate your review of my stats
In addition to increasing the minimum pressure to 7, also turn on EPR full-time at setting 3. That will reduce your 95% flow limitations from 0.04 to zero and greatly reduce the fluctuations in pressure. With a minimum pressure of 7 and EPR 3, your pressures will be 7/4 (inhale/exhale) and you will find therapy much more comfortable, and I would also expect improvement in the AHI. Most people with the Autoset don't realize they actually have a bilevel machine, but you have to turn on and use EPR to access it.

Thanks for your comments.
In answer to your questions:
-
How did you feel during the day? Not a lot better, still get dozy mid afternoon. I think this is related to being awake many hours overnight (not sure if it is related to this or not).
-
Try not to chase numbers, but how you feel. Agree totally. I do think the 'base' numbers seem ok though. Gone from AHI of 20+ to less than one (well that is my understanding, could be wrong)

Can you post a copy of your sleep report with your personal info redacted? I have a copy here, however can't seem to be able to add it. Happy for any suggestions. Now attached.
I have now made the following machine adjustments as per your welcome suggestions:
Changed minimum pressure from 5 to 7 (now Min 7 Max 16)
Changed EPR from Ramp Only to Full Time
Changed EPR from 1 to 3
I look forward to experiencing the changes tonight.
Thanks for your time.
