christoph1- Therapy Thread
I’ve had chronic insomnia for over 20 years. I’m 44 male, 5-11, 155 lbs. I just got diagnosed with apnea. Attached are my results (any input would be appreciated) I bought a bilevel Aircurve 10 because I heard it’s more tolerable than cpap and it has the ability to be one (cpap) as well. I’ve tried 2 nights and I just can’t use it. I already have horrible insomnia onset and maintenance and it won’t allow me to sleep even taking dayvigo to help me try and sleep. I don’t travel or even sleep with my wife because her movements wake me so to say I’m sensitive to awakenings is an understatement. What would you advise as a good comfortable setting on my Aircurve 10 to get use to it. My thoughts are:
Vauto
Ipap 12 max
Epap 5 min
Ps 4
Ti max 2.5
Ti min .5
Trigger med
Cycle med

I’ve tried vauto epap min 6, ipap max 15, ps 3, ti max 3.5, ti min .3, trigger high, cycle med I’ve tried someone suggested this. Every time I almost fell asleep it woke me just felt really uncomfortable. I had mouth tape and nasal mask. Once I took it off it caused such labored breathing I had really bad insomnia after it felt like I couldn’t gather my breath similar to my issues when I just can’t fall asleep. Every time I almost fell asleep my body just said nope.              This was my second try sleeping with it.  The lack of sleep I get in general is bad and this makes it unbearable. I can’t even attach my sleep study, it’s not giving me any option to do

I’m not getting new thread option only reply option in the box at the upper right hand

I merged your two posts into 1 thread and moved it to the Main Forum.  Also retitled it to read:  christoph1 - Therapy Thread

Going forward, please use this thread for all your inquiries and posting charts.

Thanks!

Also, in answer to starting a new thread, you have to go to the Main Apnea Board Forum.
There you will find START A NEW THREAD in the upper right side of page.
