help with settings
Hello there, I was hoping to find some advice on what could be done to improve my settings.  I'm finding some SPO2 drops at night when my doctor ordered for the annual oximetry test.  He ordered for o2 but the insurance wants another sleep study which is scheduled in 4 months.

So I procured my own oximeter so I can see for myself what my problem is, and I find that I have some hypopnea events that are the culprit.  Does anyone have any recommendations on what I can do to fix this?

RE: help with settings
It would be helpful if you get onto a ResMed AirSense 10 or 11 AutoSet sooner than later. The Philips Respironics you're on now is banned for new sales in the US. The ResMed will support you noticably better as well. You've had that Philips Respironics how long?

Also, I would question the info about your insurance saying they need a new sleep study. It's probably a lie, in that is either the doctor or your DME saying they "need" the test. You don't. You have enough proof you need CPAP by way of the CPAP you're using, and the last test done.

If you don't have these yet, you need your own copy of the detailed test results and the script. Get them ASAP.
Mask Primer

Positional Apnea

Attach OSCAR, etc.

(03-05-2025, 01:46 PM)I agree.  My DME gave me the Resvent iBreeze which had gotten a faulty flow sensor last year, and my DME refuses to repair/replace it because it\s past warranty and it's not been 5 years.  The Philips machine is the model manufactured to replace the recalled unit, so I switched to it instead. We really can't see your machine settings, close the calendar and the pie chart. They are hiding pertinent info.
Also don't show the snore chart.
The following are more important:
Events Flags
Flow rate
Leak Rate
Flow Limits if available, probably not with a Philips machine
Pressure
Mask Pressure - maybe

Keep in mind that there are safety issues with this Philips unit. Possible fire hazard  or shock hazard.
Thirdly this machine can give us formaldehyde gas.
You may want to look for a lightly used ResMed machine, until you get a new DME supplier.
Stay safe
Others can say what else to show on your charts.
