Hi,

I’ve been on therapy for 3 1/2 weeks and I’m looking to learn more so I get the best treatment possible out of my machine and settings. How many nights of using OSCAR will give me a good idea of the tweaks I need to make on my ReSmed Airsense 11 settings currently at 5.0-20.0? I’m using an F20 full face mask. So far my MyAir scores are great. Scores are between 93-100 each night. The MyAir app seems very basic.  Thanks.

Welcome to Apnea Board!

MyAir is ok for taking a Quick Look, but for more in-depth data, you may wish to download the free OSCAR software that most everyone here uses and prefers.

Be sure you have an SD card in your machine while you sleep, or you will only receive summary data, similar to MyAir.

Give us 2 or 3 days worth of data to look at.

You will need to take a Screenshot* of the daily page in OSCAR and then use the Attachment Feature to upload here.

*
Set your display to the Standard view.
(View > Reset Graphs > Standard)
Take a screenshot of your Daily screen.
   * For Windows or Linux: Use the F12 key
   * For a Mac: Use Fn+F12

You can use the links below in my signature line to guide you when ready to use the software.

Here is 2 days of data with auto set at 6.0-18.0.  Any adjustments recommended? Thanks for taking the time to assist me with this.

RE: New : Looking for guidance
Have you been on pap for long? Can you post up your redacted sleep study results?

on both those nights your average pressure was at 8cm and went up to 12-14cm. try raising your minimum to 9cm & EPR to 3. And see how you do with that. If your CA's goes up lower the EPR to 2 and try again. You want to work towards your pressures not raising and falling by such large amounts, as that can cause disrupted sleep.

Do try to keep some notes on what settings are doing for how you feel in the morning.

Thank you. I thought I wasn’t optimal because the chart looks like ocean waves.

Sorry. Been on cpap a month. My MyAir scores have been 93-100. Apneasin the 2.5 area per hour. After perusing the board I’ve learned that these are generic and in need of modification. I will change settings and look at charts.

As you are just one month in. It can take some time for our bodies & minds to adapt to pap treatment and the process of preparing for sleep. But this can vary widely from person to person. My AHI was nearly zero right from the start. But I wasn't getting restful sleep and it ended up having nothing to do with pap therapy.

Remember, we are also subject to negative outside influences to restful sleep as well. In my case it is my dry eye condition and was a major cause of my fragmented sleep. At first I wasn't making the connection and was wondering why pap wasn't working.

Given this information do you think changing settings is worth a try. Now that I have Oscar etc I’m committed to tracking. I’m assuming more of a straight line chart is the goal.

I have been a model patient and adapted quickly. I’m finding I love putting the mask on and asleep very quickly. I do awaken a few times a night.
I’m under no stress. I noticed changes 1st night. Did not get up once to urinate.
My digestive issues have gotten a thousand times better. My scores with
Resmed have pretty much been 98 for a month. .

You were one of those lucky one's that fell right in line. Thumbs-up-2

The basic goal that we strive for are successful treatment at the lowest pressure with the fewest pressure variations. My pressures are set at 12.4 min-15 max. Last night I had an AHI of 0.37 (all CA's from taking a very deep breath) and my pressure ranged from 12.4 to 12.68 only 0.28cm change. So if my sleep gets disrupted. It won't be from a huge and sudden increase in pressure.
