minimum pressure below 4 hPa on Prisma 20a
I would like to set the minimum pressure below 4 hPa on my Prisma 20a because I have difficulties exhaling with the Resmed P10 nasal pillow mask size M. APAP is dynamic and SoftPAP is set to level 3. On inhalation the pressure is approx. 7 hPa and on exhalation 4 hPa. I would like to have a pressure of 3 or 2 hPa when exhaling. This is not possible with “normal” means. In the clinic menu of the device, the minimum pressure is limited to 4 hPa. This is also not possible with the Prisma TS software, as the entry of a pressure below 4 hPa is ignored in the user interface.
There is no point in trying to change the configuration on the SD card, as the configuration menu is not accessible when using an SD card. This is only the case if the device is connected directly to the computer via USB.
The only remaining options are
a) to modify the Prisma TS software
b) to modify the communication stream between Prisma TS and Prisma 20a.
c) manipulate the internal memory.
d) activate a possibly hidden menu
Has anyone ever dealt with this?

I am not familiar with the Prisma machines, however it's rare for a CPAP to supply under 4 cmH20 as its minimum. I think you'll need to focus on other settings to give you some therapy with the Prisma version of exhale relief down to 4.
I think the ResMed S or ST has a minimum of 3 EPAP, but it's not a reasonable therapy setting.
Here's the PSI comparison between 3 and 4 cmH20.
3 cmH20 = 0.042670030002855 PSI
4 cmH20 = 0.05689337333714 PSI
There's less difference than you think. I also believe you'll be quite air starved even at minimum 4.
