new user dreamstation auto bipap machine d7000
I received this as a gift.

I am using it for ten days now with a dreameware fullface mask.

After waking up in the middle of the night to let the dog out, I have a tendency to not want to put the mask back on because I cant stand the pressure. it takes my breath away. When it starts up its good im able to fall asleep easily I guess. Anyone can direct me to the proper answers.

I hope you don’t have those settings a setting of epap 4 ipap 20 provides pressure support of 16 and will be wildly over ventilating you.

I think he just swapped them around.
I think the machine starts at epap4 PS5 = ipap 9

It's just a matter of getting use to it. It will happen over the next couple of months. Keep the mask on.

You can download sleepyhead and get some charts up for opinions

For auto-cpap, from machine data or software. You can set the min pressure 1 or 2cm below 95%. Or clinicians commonly use the maximum or 95% pressure for fixed pressure CPAP, this can also be used for min pressure.

Feedsack, get the clinical setup manual free here https://www.apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-p...tup-manual  Your setting transcription is incorrect/ impossible and I think what you're using is
Mode Bauto
EPAP min 4.0
IPAP max 20
PS min 5.0
PS max 18.0???
Ramp start 4.0 cm
Ramp time 15 minutes.

My assumptions could be wrong. I would suggest a few changes, but it would help to know the actual settings or see a #Sleepyhead chart which will have them on the chart.  Try lowering PS min to 3.0, PS max 4.0 and set your EPAP min to 5.0 and IPAP max to 14.0.  Life will be better.

RE: new user dreamstation auto bipap machine d7000
Turning down max pressures in the short term does make it easier to get use to. Unfortunately it's easy to forget to put them back to treating pressures. It's best to get a chart up. With those numbers, if that was my machine, I'd have
min epap 9 (a bit below the median for now)
max ipap , the 22 or over, the machine will use what it wants
min ps 3 (the median looked 3.4 between epap and ipap) subject to median breath of 15.2 per min and tidal volume of 540 being right for body size and medical situation. It does take a few nights to really settle, but otherwise I'd try the min PS4 and see. You probably won't need the min ps5 you had.
max ps 8 you have is ok, or over, You worked between 3-5.7. again I think the machine will work the max to what it needs.

RE: new user dreamstation auto bipap machine d7000
Thank you to everyone who has helped or are waiting for new information from me.

I am using a full face dream ware mask and am showing leakage i also have a beard and thick mustache.

I chase all out of the bunkroom when i go to sleep I snore really loud, thus me getting this to try.

I get to sleep fine its the constant blowing and seems like shortness of breath when i wake up to get my pups out for their three oclock fishing expediyion. they usually jump of the dock for some reason then crap or pee
Any ideas is welcome.
