night sweats

Hi,  I was wondering if anyone suffered night sweats prior to getting CPAP machine or if you skip the machine for a night?

I've experienced night sweats for some time now, long before starting SA Therapy. And, I still have them. 

I do take a night off from my SA Therapy from time to time. In fact, last night was just such a night.

I've had night sweats before & during my 3+ years of pap. I haven't noticed that pap has any bearing on it, but it makes sense that the struggle to breathe without pap leaves us 'exercised'.

That is good to hear. I thought it was just me or that it was some type of lymphoma.

I have had perhaps two or three such events in all my life where I awakened during the night to find sweat running off my chest.  It was never repeated, though, so I just forgot about it.

The literature shows at least 20 different possibilities for the causes of excessive sweating and night sweats.  Some are indeed cancers, but so are endocrine imbalances, anti-depressants, anxiety, even room temperatures that are elevated or having too many covers.  The literature also suggests strongly that they not be ignored if they come frequently.  You should seek the help of a health professional who might help you to find out why yours are happening, and if you ought to do something about it.

THanks. I did not have machine for a couple of days and I have it back now.  I want to see if it stops.  If not, to the dr I go  Also, you can get them from certain NSAIDs.
