oscar "up to date" but no data

RE: oscar "up to date" but no data
outstanding, thank you! procedure seems to be flawless. I deleted the .xml.gz file after copying summaries from one earlier profile as a test but forgot to do it again after copying from a half dozen or so additional profiles. I don't think I've closed oscar since then so maybe still time to rectify that.

it was easy to copy from an old asv profile to a new asv profile, for example, but not with vaguely named profiles containing data from more than one machine. to deal with this issue, in my new oscar 1.1.1 install I created 4 profiles, one each for apap, asv & vauto, since I've used all three, & one catchall profile combining all three.

RE: oscar "up to date" but no data
idk why my sd card had no data recorded for the day that began this thread. idk why data was corrupted in 1.1.0 beta 1 at the same time, or whether the two are related. one of the things that tipped me off was the top line on the prescription change statistics tab covered about 20 days before the hiccup and jumped to 84 days afterward. I suppose it's unimportant now, but I'm not sure updating to 1.1.1 directly addressed the underlying issue. I'll have to see if there's still a problem with my card or card reader or something else.

good to go for now. thanks again.

RE: oscar "up to date" but no data
okay, well apparently I shut oscar down last night. I still see some notes and bookmarks when selecting random recent dates but I don't know if failing to delete the .xml.gz file caused problems. should I delete it now? will it rebuild itself?

there are no notes or bookmarks when randomly selecting older dates using apap. I had a problem with a windows update screwing up sleepyhead about the time I moved on to oscar so that may be why. or could it be related to my not deleting the .xml.gz file?

You can delete the summaries.xml.gz can be deleted at anytime as long as OSCAR is closed they will rebuild the next time OSCAR is opened

RE: oscar "up to date" but no data
with oscar shut down, I deleted the .xml.gz files from the journal folder for each new profile in 1.1.1. after restarting oscar and windows explorer, there were no .xml.gz files in the journal folder in any profile. yet, my latest notes (the only ones I looked at so far) are still there. I added a sentence to last night's notes, restarted oscar and windows explorer; now there is a .xml.gz file in the profile I was adding notes to but not the others. I can't say I understand how it works but it appears to be okay.?

different issue: I used the machine for about 30 seconds last night when I remembered I was going to alter my settings a bit. I pushed the button to stop the flow, went into settings and changed them slightly. apparently this confused oscar as this morning's download returned left skewed machine info in the daily tab and the message that settings are guessed at. seems to me previous versions reported one or the other (old vs new settings) rather than this oddity. no big deal but fwiw, I think I prefer one or the other, or ideally either some acknowledgement of different settings (which would be a nightmare if more than one change) or it reported the setting that's used longer. or simply the last most recent setting.

assuming the setting change is the reason why the info is skewed left and settings are guessed.

I've found that Resmed records the configuration parameters at the beginning of a day's first sleep session.  It would seem that the Resmed engineers never envisioned anyone would ever want change anything after the start of a new day.

Could you make a copy of the str.edf file on your SD card today, then make another copy of that file tomorrow, and send both to me?  I'd like to take a close look at those files.

I had a similar thing happen recently, with the same "guessed settings" message.  But it self-corrected the following day and I hadn't kept a copy of the str.edf file to compare anything with.

Thanks!
