silversydney Therapy Thread!

silversydney Therapy Thread!
Hi all! Been lurking a bit in the couple of weeks since I got my CPAP, and have been trying to dial in some settings, but I fear that maybe I've made things worse than they were at first?

My first week or so, I felt GREAT, with AHI numbers mostly under 2! The is in contrast to 8.6 AHI untreated. Last week and so far this week...not as awesome. Still really good--AHI under 3!--but I don't feel as awesome as I felt the first week. I know that lots of people take some time to really feel better, so I'm thinking that maybe the shiny-newness has just worn off and my body is just trying to adjust for real now? I don't know.

Here's a picture of my data from last night. (I just finally got my SD card two nights ago.) Any recommendations?

When I was under 2 AHI my first week, these were my settings. This night in particular was 1.4 AHI! (I don't have the detailed data because I didn't have my SD card at that time.) I had some rainout that I fixed with humidity adjustments, but that was the only big issue. Should I just go back to these since I felt so much better??

Thanks for any and all help! Smile

RE: silversydney Therapy Thread!
Welcome

Your start pressure is too low.  Your median pressure is slightly over 9, so your start pressure should be 9.  I think that will help you feel better.

Again, welcome, and best wishes for achieving great therapy and comfort!  Smile

Ohhh, thank you! I did that last night and it helped!

Besides that, I also went back to most of the other settings from when I was getting AHI under 2…and feeling quite a bit better today! Woo!

Thank you!!
