[split] Resmed AirSense 11 Initial FCC Filings
I am nervously awaiting the AirSense 11 which has been filed with the FCC and Industry Canada, behind a 180 confidentiality which expires in August, I believe.

For any geeks wanting to seek what is there:  FCCID: 2ACHL-AIR114G, IC:9103A-AIR114G
These are models: 39420 AirSense 11 AutoSet, 39421 AirSense 11 CPAP, 39422 AirSense 11 Elite, 39423 AirSense 11 AutoSet, 39424 AirSense 11 CPAP, 39425 AirSense 11 Elite.
No photos, internal or external for 180 days from the filing date of Feb 2, 2021.
There's 4G LTE Cat 1, 3G, BLE on board.  Hope there is still an SD there...

RE: [split] Resmed AirSense 11 Initial FCC Filings
I'm about to get a new Airsense 10 Auto, anyone have an idea when it could come out? should I wait??
Anyone know anymore about what we think NEW features will be, e.g. better algorithms etc?

FYI, I found this looks like an emissions test done on it for ResMed by a company named DEKRA in October 2020, actual document date 1/28/2021.

In it mentions on page 4 so looks like it will have Bluetooth?

"2.  The  sample  consists  of  a  Continuous  Positive  Airway  Pressure  (CPAP) Device,  a  device  with integrated cellular and Bluetooth connectivity"

Adding a new algorithm takes a considerable effort to get approved. Therefore do not expect any stunning new algorithms.

FCC Generic Search
Under Applicant Name, enter ResMed   Click Start search at bottom of page.
Should return ~ 60 results.
Click "Detail" for any of the entries labeled with the FCC ID: 2ACHL-AIR114G
Contains the public information that has been released on the ResMed Air 11 devices, including test results.

I've often used the Generic Search to find out emissions regulatory info on miscellaneous pieces of technical gear.  Often, there are internal and external photographs of the gear.  In this case, a 180 day freeze on photos has been imposed by request of ResMed.  It is extremely rare that any detailed "how it works" information is disclosed.  The FCC requires the information for filing, but allows companies to permanently prevent the disclosure for competitive reasons.

FDA (in the US) would be reviewing any changes in treatment algorithms.  FCC is only concerned with electromagnetic emissions.

I did find these filings at the FDA. Of course, they are so cryptic that they could mean anything. The point is that they do have FDA filings.

Actually, the SDHC format used in the AirSense10 and Dreamstation is 21st century technology from Wikipedia:

>>>The SDHC format, announced in January 2006, brought improvements such as 32 GB storage capacity ...

I hate to be pedantic, but it goes with the territory Big Grin

Husband is a physicist and builds electronics to collect data. The micro-SD card is extremely common because it's used in the Raspberry PI, Arduino, etc, to run the operating system and hold the data. Hubby has stacks of them on his desk, in his pockets, floor of his office, bedroom and closet floor...

... definitely 21st century technology!
