RE: super7pilot - Therapy Thread
Thanks Super Pilot. It’s helpful to this neophyte to see what normal Oscar reports look like. I’m still trying to find a mask I can tolerate. Today I ordered a Respironics Nuance gel pillow mask. I thought it looked more tolerable given its design. I haven’t had a good nights sleep with Cpap for sometime now even when my numbers look good.i guess good #s doesn’t necessarily = good sleep

Well, It's getting more normal. What was surprising was the lab info on the Leg movements that caused a lot of arousal's. I had paid no attention to that part of the report.
I guess I wasn't crazy after all for stating in my recent posts that I thought a lot of my sleep issues with a low AHI were likely my feet and eyes. I found a new eye Dr. who happens to be a member of our Lutheran church. He and his wife suffer from dry-eye. So he understands how bad it can be. He started me on a big honking dose of Omega-3 fish oil that has a lot of DHA/EPA and Steroid eye drops. And it seems to be helping my eyes. However, I might sprout gills from the four gal caps of fish oil I eat. Probably lower my high side of normal bad Cholesterol level.

My eye doctor recommended Omega-3 fish oil years ago, no gills or fins yet. Hope it helps you.

RE: super7pilot - Therapy Thread
This morning I just saw a message from my sleep doc. She had recently reviewed some of my more recent sleeps and had adjusted my pressures to 11-20 EPR 3. I noticed last night, humm, why is my minimum at 11? So I knocked it back to 9 minimum EPR2 and sure enough I woke up about 2 feeling air starved and yanked my mask. So tonight I will accept her advice as to why she bumped it up to 11-20 EPR3.
I hi have also come to realize Complicating things is the doxepin that one of my other docs put me on a while back. I’m pretty damn sure it has made my breathing while asleep worse. I was doing really well with PAP before I started that stuff and over time things have gotten worse with the symptoms I wake up with. Unfortunately it’s not a medication one can just stop. It requires a slow taper to get off. Doctors can either cure you or kill you ?

Is it the small things or just the bodies daily variances and my less painful dry-eye since starting on ocular steroids? (prednisolone) The only difference in the two results is the min pressure setting change of .4cm from 13 to 13.4. (not much) But I'll take it.

You’re a fortunate man Super Pilot. Wish I could sleep like that. Keep it up.

BINGO
I only give suggestions from experience as a fellow CPAP user, not professional advice. My suggestions are for consideration, they are not definitive instructions.

RE: super7pilot - Therapy Thread
Been a big improvement in my sleep since going on the steroid eye drops for my dry-eye. The improvement has been that my eyes aren't disrupting my sleep. can't stay on steroids for too long though. So need to make the switch to Meibo eye drops. Only problem is the cost. one 3mil bottle (1 months supply) is running about $1,000. YIKES! And of course my tri-care and medicare insurance doesn't cover it.
However, that eye drop is sold over the counter in Germany for about $20. And I'm blessed to still have some connections in Germany. So my German friends will go to the store and buy a bunch and hand it over to a military friend and mail it to me. As of late my FL's have been at or very close to 95% .00. So I decided to try to work at those consistently inconsistent CA's and have lowered my EPR to 2 again and my min pressure from 13.4 to 13.2. And last night that worked as my FL's were 95% .03. Of course that could change tonight :-) So in the end. Things are looking up. [attachment=78393][attachment=78394]

Glad you are sleeping well, the flow rate has some really nice and smooth sections in it.
Are you taking fish oil with omega-3 also? That has helped me a little bit. Do you monitor your heart rate also? Has it smooth out a little except for the crazy REM sleep of course?

Have u looked into getting your drops from a Canadian Rx. I get my Eliquis from an Rx in Vancouver and save a bunch of money.
