thoughts on refurbished Bipap ASV machines

thoughts on refurbished Bipap ASV machines
I have been using the Resmed Airsense 10 ASV machine now for about 8 years.  In November 2024, the machine displayed a message saying the motor life has been exceeded.  I have still been using the machine since the first display of motor life exceeded and I am not sure for how long the machine will last.  In light of precaution,  I have currently acquired a new prescription from my sleep lab (after my visit and their review of my numbers) to get a new machine.  The new ASV machines appear to cost about $3000 and my insurance deductible is $2500.  I have come across what are coined, "refurbished" machines for about $1000.  I am not sure if refurbished simply means changing out the old motor with a new motor.
In any event, has anyone purchased a refurbished machine in the past, and/or should I consider buying a refurbished machine.   Is it possible to swap my old motor with a new motor in my old machine.  Any thoughts or comments??

If you go to the supplier list above and look at Supplier #28 . He is an authorized repair shop that can make your old machine like new for less than $300. You can go to his website and ask him a question about repairs and he will answer you with what it cost. In the reviews area there are post from those of us that has had this done and we are happy with his service.

I used Supplier #28 for my Vauto. The bid will replace the motor and reset the hour chip, so new motor and no error. For a little more, but still under $300 a complete cleaning, seals replacements and calibration of pressure. You will have an ASV that is probably better than new.
