try new mask?

try new mask?
Has anyone tried the ResMed AirFit N30 mask?   I have been using the ResMed DreamWear with under the nose cushion and doing pretty well with it...but (of course there is always a but) since the headgear goes over the top of my head and the hose hangs off ....this often drags on the top of my head, snags on the pillow, and then there is the cat that sleeps with me....I'm waking up to adjust the headgear and the straps a lot.
I tried the Brevida nasal pillow ... it was better about the cat and snagging tubing and all, but the nasal cushion pokes into the nostrils and is VERY irritating.  I see that the N30 doesn't have that-- fits UNDER the nose.  Anybody try it and what do you think?
thanks!

RE: try new mask?
I used the Activa LT for years.  Didn't want to change, didn't like the idea of trying on different masks.  Then through a confluence of events I tried on the Dreamwear at the dme and I have been wearing it ever since.  Well, 3 weeks now.  Not a whiff of a problem.  Almost forgot, get rid of the cat. Two quick thoughts. The pillows on pillow masks are supposed to rest on the ends of your nostrils; they are not supposed to poke into your nose. You might want to try the next size up on the pillows.

Also, have you considered a hose lift (hose stand)? I use one with and over-the-head mask and it keeps everything out of the way. I use the Hose Buddy at home and the Arden collapsible stand when I travel.

Can't get rid of the cat! (she is 18 yrs old and my baby). I didn't know about the hose stand...I will check it out, thanks! As for the projections on the pillow not supposed to be going kind of into the nostrils...that is how they put it on me when I went for the initial sleep study. The doc gave me a prescription that allows me to choose my mask of choice, so I have tried several. But, thanks ....I think the Brevida is not for me, anyhow.

RE: try new mask?
I use the N30. I like that it is very minimalistic. However, the cushion does seem to be prone to slipping out of place at times, which can cause leaks. The adjustable strap does not hold tension with the included clip, so I use an alligator style hair clip to keep the strap at the right adjustment length.

I have been alternating between the N30 and N30i and like them both a lot.

A lot of online suppliers have a 30 day trial period, so you could send back if you try a mask and it doesn’t work out.

Thank you for the review! I plan to try it. Hope I like it. If not... yes, maybe I can do a return.
