using dreamstation go full time

RE: using dreamstation go full time
From reading various Respironics Go posts on various threads, you may notice that some, including me, think the Go is very quiet, while others think it's somewhat noisy, while others think its quiet over time, as the machine adjusts to your breathing. My guess is they all are right. The type of mask or pillows, the placement of the mask and pillows, the level of air pressure, and one's breathing seem to affect the amount of noise. For my own part, I've noticed that the Go with a ResMed P10 pillow device is very quiet if 1) the machine is below your head's level; 2) the 12mm tube is slightly above you head (on top of covers); and 3) you initially breathe rhythmically and slowly (into air, not linens) during any initial ramp stage. In other words, you can breathe naturally, and the machine, at least at pressures under 10, is soothingly quiet. The 12mm hose is much more flexible at home, or on the road, to use than a 15mm hose. I notice no difference in sound between the two, and the machine has specific settings for each diameter type. In a sentence, you may hear some gentle noise on inhale, and none on exhale. My wife says its really quiet. The Go's setup is so convenient, I've abandoned at home as well as on the road the ResMed S9 and 10 alternatives, and adopted the Go, full time.

Just to share after using Dreamstation Go for few weeks: it is indeed very quite (based on my wife's observations). It is very convenient in use, i will continue using it as primary device.
