what happened to me at 2 am?
RE: what happened to me at 2 am?
Quick uneducated guess, Pressure maxes out at 11 and which is worse as with EPR 3 actually further lowering pressure to 8 on the exhale ? but only a quick guess "if walks like duck" that is allowing events to occur ? but then may be also be positional from say as obstructions supine / Chin tucking ? and then higher pressure still unlikely to prevent. But worth in meantime check for a collar for test quick fix trial use a pillow or rolled towel positioned up under jaw/chin to help prevent chin tucking into onto chest? or or otherwise if big high pillow look for lower pillow ? ? but saying that would think as not random event, a once off, but would expect often recurrence happening ? The expert will come to your assist with more detail knowledge analyzing, and wanting for probably some history, as again may be also something completely different out my league. This just simple start at most likely positional! for 1st port check on, and then later may need consider for higher max pressure but more often easy to address guess? Then I myself only ever do 1 change and monitor at a time so can identify the response to the change, and if say make 3 change's at same time may all have assisted or may then only 1 of then actually assisted but then wont actually know for sure? which 1 fixed it ? the other 2 may have had no difference at all?
Should add only overall AHI 3.68, all from mostly just the 3/4hr from the 200-245, and if did get good sleep the rest time 6 1/2 hrs was all condensed in that 45 min's, which to me better than spread over whole night sleeping with wakings ? .

RE: what happened to me at 2 am?
Thank you! I guess it could be the way I was sleeping but what can I do about that? I mean, I’m asleep so I’m not really conscious of how I’m lying. It happens most mornings I think.

RE: what happened to me at 2 am?
Yes like suggest trial error quick fix test with rolled Pillow and or wait on a buy Collar if just have handy, so to have on hand if worsens ? yes does depends of own concern if waking up and starts effecting daytime sleepiness or if a bit more OSD and just need to fix or know the cause ? or may be bit more casual, oh well couldn't bothered worrying about, is just once off and to Bad to Sad who cares, unless start seeing becoming continual recurrences ? Like said is well under as the treated @ 5 AHI, and then is time condensed into that one 45min time frame.
RE: what happened to me at 2 am?
May be worth consider 1 or the other increase the Max by .02 or reduce the EPR by 1 for few days with either i you done doubt would even notice the change but totally at your consideration. always , 1 change at time, only Small minimal changes, Baby Steps, wait, monitor and reassess ?

No problem I am not in here to often, of late more so often just lurking, scouring over other post, for self educate, similar views and in comparison own same issues on occasions prop up, try give some back but No expert. I did tho ha bit quick search on your Threads/post andre common low AHI and also looked as often is the around the 0300hrs apnea's time ? that may be the cycle into some Deep or Rem sleep ? and other time may be mostly very light awakeness sleep ? and may not be getting into high % of the deep refreshing sleep cycles. But my theory is that have been lagging from sleep such as how long that been feeling lousy etc from say unhygienic sleep may take the same time if same time and if not more of that length of Hygienic sleep to recover same Hygienic healthy sleep state! By your numbers aren't the a issue at all, but saying that doesn't mean actually getting good Dep/Rem sleep may for some reason spending a lot more time Awakeness type sleep, and then the ongoing tired fatigue feeling, To me is a good sign if have some memory of getting dreams and had deep sleep etc? as I i was for years and years without dream, ofen awake and was jsu my thought that was just normal part getting older, but have discovered dreams again and relish importance of good sleep and relish those having dreams and sleep WOW how good is that, as I thought had outgrown it, how lucky i was wrong.

Hi ekkamouse again and not stalking you but have looked back and show that 0200 am is a ongoing reoccurrence's as pattern shown previous threads Charts post's ? so is not something is one off going away without addressing it, looks to have a Pattern routine at that time 2 or 300 hrs at some level, but again is not concern by the numbers but may look for if has a same trigger, at that time that is obviously look as a part of your sleep routine, may just be that is the only time you actually dropping off or into cycle of Deep or Rem sleep and at that stage have events occur or also consequential due to tuck chin or may be other medical or medicine relating triggering it, or other Drink eat or smoke? prior to sleep ? or other? outside that time may just be awakenesses / Light sleep that is leaving tired ?
I am thinking consider try keep for little while concentrate if able keep book, record of how good actual sleeping, routine time to Bed,getting up, gauge how much sleep actually getting, and quality ? keep pad side bed if often waking and turning or lying awake keep some notes during night or 1st thing in morning note some detail ? May be simple rate of nights sleep on a 1-10 rate of your sleep or and any notes of awaking's of times toss or turning or rolling over checking machine or adjust mask or water, if having numerous such waking over the night but if just the normal na slept most night and feel good on waking or slept most night but still tied but wans a wake and going all good ? Do know in own mind as simple yes is good sleep or if more concerned lots waking no memory of dream or good sleeps, or if wake up oh yeah Yes I sleep all night dreams but don't just remember what where yes do know od do wake from good deep sleeps? XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX EM sleep Your first REM cycle of the night begins about 90 minutes after you fall asleep and recurs every 90 minutes. Your eyes move around quickly behind your eyelids and your brainwaves look similar to those of someone who is awake. Your breathing, heart rate, and blood pressure rise to near-waking levels. REM sleep, often referred to as stage 5, is when you are most likely to dream. Your arms and legs become temporarily paralyzed during this stage to prevent you from physically acting out your dreams. How much deep sleep should you get? In healthy adults, about 13 to 23 percentTrusted Source of your sleep is deep sleep. So if you sleep for 8 hours a night, that’s roughly 62 to 110 minutes. However, as you get older you require less deep sleep. During deep sleep, a variety of functions take place in the mind and body: memories are consolidated learning and emotions process physical recovery occurs blood sugar levels and metabolism balance out the immune system is energized the brain detoxifies Without deep sleep, these functions cannot take place and the symptoms of sleep deprivation kick in. On the other hand, there doesn’t seem to be any such thing as too much deep sleep. How much REM sleep should you get Although there’s no official consensus on how much REM sleep you should get, dreaming is most common during this stage. Experts believe that dreaming helps you process emotions and solidify certain memories. For most adults, REM takes up about 20 to 25 percentTrusted Source of sleep, and this seems to be healthy during average sleep cycles. However, sleep research is raising some interesting questions. One recent study suggested that higher amounts of REM sleep may be associated with depression. But don’t go making sudden changes in your sleep habits — it is not clear which is the cause and which is the effect. How much light sleep do you need? Although sleep scientists believe that light sleep is good for you, there is no minimum to strive for. Light sleep is usually the default stage, one that is nearly impossible to avoid if you are asleep at all. Too much overall sleep on a regular basis, however, is linked to obesity, depression, pain, heart disease, and even increased risk of death.

RE: what happened to me at 2 am?
I'm going to take a little different approach to this. The cluster of OA after 2:00 appears positional, or more specifically like chin-tucking. We have a wiki that shows this is a common pattern for many members and its signature is the cluster of OA, often many times per night. When the problem is persistent, it's a good idea to take a look at your sleeping position and remove that extra fat pillow, or even consider a soft cervical collar.

Agree with sleeprider. If this is a one off get about it, if it recurs with any degree of regularity get a cervical collar as he suggests.
