I don't think a chin strap would help because practically all the air escapes through my lips, while my mouth is still closed.  So keeping my mouth closed is not the problem.  Obviously I've not managed to explain this well :-)  When I'm awake, I often end up "squeezing" the excess air out of my mouth myself, as it is uncomfortable.  I hope this makes sense

Addormentato, there is an easy thing to try. Get a sport headband and run it around your neck and over your lips.

I do this but with an old ‘buff’ head gear. It’s a little bulky. But works great. A headband is much less bulky. I have used both.

The F40 has been an improvement for me over the F10 and F20 due to its smaller size and flexibility but it offers no relief to dry mouth I get from mouth breathing.  I cannot use a nasal mask due to mouth breathing.

I might just try that headband trick, just for the fashion statement, if anything else. In the meantime I ordered both a F30i and an F40.
