Hello man,
sorry for creating a misunderstanding.

please don't get me wrong...  I have no intentions to make you feel bad,  I just want to tell you I was in the same place , had even worse numbers.... Like AHI of 3 and 4.

I would still advise you, if you were able to have that first machine, a computer and a smartphone to write this comment and idk, then for sure if you try you can get a better machine. Maybe not right now but down the road 1 year or 2 yearsk, that is where you should be going man.

I myself suffered a lot and Dreamstation just didn't have what it takes to solve my problem.

I got Vauto and I sleep like a baby and breathing feels so natural.

Dreamstation was good for me because it fixed my sleep at least to a decent degree until I upgraded.

That's all I'm saying. If you achieve a good result with Dreamstation don't stop there. Attack those flow limitaitons as soon as you can have a better machine.
Sleep is so imoprtant, it's like food. We can go without food for more than a month but can we go without sleep for more than a month?

Don't buy a new phone, computer, don't buy expensive food, skip that beer for a year or two, really save all you have and invest in your sleep.

2000 euros for good sleep is nothing in my opinion. If I had no cash, I'd go out on the street and beg for 2000 euros until I get that machine.
Now that I can sleep well, life changed so much and it is beautiful.

I just want to motivate you.

Your number AHI 1 is not worse from what I had and I felt much better when my AHI approached 1, so probably it is not that bad, only you can tell, but I want to motivate you, invest in your sleep, work on it, don't give up.

Even if it's a long road ahead.
Don't be satisfied until you get the best.

I am sorry if I caused misunderstanding. Really,,, sorry

So for the time being no pressure recommendations? Just ride it out? This is the first night I wore a mask all night.  Almost 9 hours. I am still trying to see where to turn vs2 off.

Hi Dugy40,
This is a sample graph, so just look at the bottom left for the Event Flag Selector.  See the arrow pointing to the drop down box.  Click on that, and select/unselect what you want to show.  We normally turn VS2 off as they aren't real snores, and leave the VS on.

The reporting on the left is what your machine is reporting and can not be edited. The VS2 is turned off in your Events graph on the right.

I am not trying to edit it.  Trying to turn it off to quit reporting.   It’s been off for a week but still reporting.

The phrase, "can not be edited", means you can't turn it off. Sorry for the confusion.

Oh ok.   Thank you.   I’ve been racking my brain out trying to turn it off.   Haha.

Any RERAs present means that there are more there and you have a good number of flow limits.  You can think of flow limits as being hypopneas that didn't make the cut to be called hypopneas, so very mild hypopneas.  On a ResMed I would suggest changes that would lower them, even if you were not complaining about them simply because there is virtually no downside to doing so and it is easy.  It is hard to resist chasing minor issues such as flow limits simply because we can see them.  We ALL need to remember that once numbers are decent, and yours are excellent, that there is no need to chase numbers.  Comfort, how you feel becomes the overriding factor.
For example say your AHI was 20, that is too high and needs to be resolved, The medical community says under 5, we here tend to look at 3 (AHI) as a major transition to how you feel and away from numbers.  Along the way we watch your comfort, because if comfortable you will use the machine, if not, well that's a major statistic in the sleep industry.

I hope this explains things a bit.

BTW, the specific people helping you are fans of ResMed, and if you were getting a new machine that is likely what we would suggest.

You made my day.  You make me feel like cpap is worth hanging with.  I almost felt like throwing in the towel earlier.   I hope I get my ResMed this week and that it’s a good one.  Thank you a lot for writing me.  Love hearing from you.  I love positivity.  Talk to you later.  Doug.

RE: Hypopnea? - Dugy40 - 07-06-2020

i was told the other day to just set my machine on 9. does everyone still think i should just set to 9? i need to learn to read the leak rate. i woke up a couple times breathing though my mouth. i am trying to train myself to not breathe through my mouth. does leak rate look bad? does it look like my mask is leaking because my mask is so comfortable. i have a new one one on the way. its a nose mask to. ive read its best to breathe through your nose. so i am trying not to have to go full face. thoughts?
