Question about non-Resmed FF masks - StevesSp - 04-17-2021

I use the Resmed Mirage Quattro FX full-face mask, now discontinued. I have tried a couple of other Resmed masks but found the silicon cushion material used in current masks too stiff for comfort or effective sealing. So far, I have been able to track down remaining stock of masks and parts to keep using the Quattro FX, but of course that won't be for much longer.

So planning ahead I'm wondering if any masks made by other manufacturers use the same soft and pliant silicone as my old mask, or do they all use the 'stiff' type?

It's hard to describe these qualities in isolation, I know, but what FF mask do you use and how would you describe the cushion material?

I was very fortunate from the beginning to be issued an F&P Simplus.    Since then, I have tried others but have found this mask (and its updated version, the Vitera) to be the most accommodating and comfortable out of all I've tried.    F&P seems to have a good mask R&D group. Also, their prices in the U.S. seem more affordable than others as well.

Thanks CN. How do you rate it for vent noise?

So long as you don't orient the swivel elbow in front of the vent holes, it is very quiet. Comparing its venting as opposed to a mask like a Resmed F30, the F30 is quieter due to the restricted exhaust port, but I feel that the F&P provides a better venting for CO2 discharge.
