Bad news about oximeters - plumager - 10-19-2022

I recently purchased a CMS50F and CMS50I from Contec. Unfortunately, they were all upgraded with firmware. The data cannot be read by OSCAR. Hopefully, the software team will resolve this issue sooner rather than later.

This is a known issue and is listed in the Wiki on Oximeters, [Wiki Oximeter Link Here]. While you can not use the direct import feature in OSCAR, you can import the ".SpO2" file created by the Contec software, Smart_Device_Assistant_V3.1.0.1.

I have the CMS 50F from Contec. The Hardware version is 2.0.0 and the Software version is 2.0.6. (You will find the versions on the CMS 50F device menu under Systems.) There is a workaround with Smart_Device_Assistant_V3.1.0.1. It is a 2 step process. First the data is retrieved by Smart_Device_Assistant_V3.1.0.1.from CMS 50F to the specific directory in C:\.... Then it is imported (from C:\...) to OSCAR using Data\Oximeter wizard. What kind of problems are you facing?
