Rainout prevention - dry mouth issue

Rainout prevention - dry mouth issue
Recently noticed VERY dry mouth using full mask. To get relief, I upped the humidity one digit (from 6 to 7 I think). Noticed water droplets in mask that night so went back to AUTO. Any suggestions?

RE: Rainout prevention - dry mouth issue
You're likely opening your mouth to breathe, and you should do what you can to improve your nasal breathing and keep your mouth shut so as to avoid it. Either a soft-cervical collar or chinstrap is the go-to for many patients.

Alternatively, and more to your question, if you increase the room temperature (not really recommended as we typically sleep better in cooler temperatures) to prevent the water from condensing and / or increase the tube temperature and / or get a sleeve for the tube.

Is there a tube temp option on the Airsense 11?

If you use the manual setting instead of auto, you can set the Tube temperature and humidity separately.

Order a Clinicians manual for detailed instruction.
